Anyone can send you a CV. It's not difficult. But do they know what you're really looking for? Most recruitment activity carried out in the UK is flawed, based upon the volume of CVs sent out multiplied by how quickly they're mailed. This 'ready, fire, aim' approach wastes time, and worse, leads to poor recruitment decisions being made.
At Latham we work that bit harder to find you the right candidate. With a multi-stage methodology that breaks the recruitment process down into relatively simple steps, we maximise the potential of each stage, because if you don't, the whole process will probably fail and you'll be left wondering why. It's simple really, just hard work - ours.
Because each vacancy is treated as an individual assignment, it starts with a full job evaluation that covers not just the experience required for the role, but also the personality fit. By talking to the business manager we build up a full understanding of the job and the expectations of the manager trying to fill it.
And we don't just trawl through a database to find you the right candidate. We'll also look at external advertising - both in print and online for those candidates that are 'just browsing'. This type of candidate tends to be much choosier about the jobs they apply for, meaning there is usually less competition for their services.
Depending upon the needs of each recruitment project, we include testing as part of the basic service. We also work within strict diversity monitoring guidelines, ensuring our clients' compliance at all times. All of this allows us to only put forward candidates who are right for the job and the team. As a result, nine out of ten candidates we advise our clients to hire are subsequently offered a job. And 90% accept the job offer made, which makes for a very efficient service.
